Department of Commerce & Business Administration, Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College, Lahore is the pioneer in commerce and business administration education among the public sector colleges. The College commenced classes of I.Com and B.Com (IT) in 1982. Department performed exceptionally well and introduced 2nd Shift in 2001-02 for I.Com and B.Com IT disciplines. As a result of continuous efforts of Commerce & Business Administration faculty, the department gained popularity and in 2004-05 the college successfully admitted a remarkable number of students in B.Com IT (more than 4000 students). Govt. M.A.O Graduate College Lahore is affiliated with BISE Lahore for Intermediate classes and University of the Punjab, Lahore for BS 4-years degree programs. For admission in B.Com (Hons.) and BBA (Hons.) programs, 50 seats for each discipline are available. In 2010, Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab issued NOC to start BS- Commerce (B.Com Hons) and BS-Business Administration (BBA Hons) 4-years degree programs at Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College, Lahore. There are limited number of seats (50 seats for each discipline) but more than 1500 students apply to get admission every year, therefore, in 2019, Replica (2nd Shift) classes of B.Com (Hons.) and BBA (Hons.) were started. The Department is committed to integrate all facets of commerce and management to educate and train innovative and competent human resource globally suitable for indust business and service sector and to equip and encourage them to start their own ventures in urban or ru areas.
