General Rules and Guidelines

College Uniform

The basic purpose of wearing uniform is that the students should have a distinct identity. The college has prescribed the following uniforms for Intermediate and BS (Hons.) students.

Intermediate

Morning Shift

  • White Shirt
  • Grey Trousers
  • Uniform Neck Tie (Blue and Grey Stripes)
  • Black Shoes
  • Navy Blue Blazer/Sweater (for winter only)

Evening Shift

  • Blue Shirt
  • Grey Trousers   
  • Uniform Neck Tie (Blue and Grey Stripes)
  • Black Shoes
  • Green Blazer/Sweater (for winter only)

BS (Hons.) Program

Morning Shift (Boys)

  • White Shirt
  • Grey Trousers
  • Uniform Neck Tie (Blue and Grey Stripes)
  • Black Shoes
  • Navy Blue Blazer/Sweater (for winter only)

Evening Shift (Boys)

  • White Shirt
  • Khaki Trousers
  • Uniform Neck Tie (Blue and Grey Stripes)
  • Black Shoes
  • Green Blazer/Sweater (or winter only)

Morning Shift (Girls)

  • White Shalwar Qameez (1st to 8th Semester)
  • Pink Dupatta (1st to 4th Semester)
  • Blue Dupatta (5th to 8th Semester)
  • Navy Blue Blazer/Black Shawl (for winter only)

Evening Shift (Girls)

  • White Shalwar Qameez (1st to 8th Semester)
  • Green Dupatta (1st to 8th Semester)
  • Navy Blue Blazer/Black Shawl (for winter only)

Note: No student is allowed to enter the college without Uniform and College ID Card around his neck.

College Identity Card

Student ID Card rules are stated below:

  • It is compulsory for every student to obtain his/her identity card from the college office immediately after admission
  • If an identity card is lost, a new card will be issued after the student deposits a fine of PKR 100
  • Student’s Identity Card is the property of the College. It is compulsory for every student to hand over his identity card to the College Office for record, if he is dropped from the College Rolls, or leaves the College or at the termination of the College Session

College Timings

  • Morning: 08:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Evening: 01:00 PM - 05:00 PM

Note: Students of Morning and Evening shifts will have to observe the above official time strictly.

Attendance

The rules regarding attendance are listed in the following:

  • The minimum attendance percentage in each subject to qualify for final examination will be 75% as per Punjab University Rules and Regulations
  • In case a student leaves the college without approval of sanctioning/concerned authority and if his/her attendance falls below 50% in a month, he/she will be dropped from the College Rolls and his/her status will be notified and communicated to the parents
  • The name of the student will be dropped from the College Rolls if he remains absent for 07 days in a month
  • A student whose name has been dropped from the College Rolls may be allowed re-admission only once
  • The re-admission fee is PKR 500 (Subject to the grant of re-admission by the Principal)
  • The fine for remaining absent for one period is PKR 5 and for a full day is PKR 10
  • The fine for remaining absent from practical class is PKR 10 per class
  • As per University/ College rules 75% of the total number of lectures delivered in each subject are compulsory to attend for a student otherwise the admission will be withheld
  • Principal reserves the right to expel a student from college on account of misconduct/ failure to pull up academically

Leave Rules

The must know guidelines for leaves are given below:

  • Leave is granted only in case of high urgency by the Deputy Registrar (Admissions)
  • Leave Application has to be submitted and got sanctioned beforehand
  • Sick leave should be accompanied with a proper Medical Certificate
  • Prescribed Leave Application Forms are available in the College Office
  • The Leave Application should reach the Registrar Office on the prescribed Proforma counter signed by the father/guardian

Fee/Dues

A student's name will be dropped from the College Rolls if he/she does not pay the dues. Re-admission is allowed only on the recommendation of Admission Committee and approval by the Principal.

Fee Concession

Fee Concession is granted to the deserving students in this college. The details are given hereunder:

  • Fee concession and stipends for deserving students are granted on the recommendation of Financial Assistance Committee
  • Only those poor and needy students who are regular in classes and have a sound academic career are eligible to apply for fee concession
  • Orphans can be accommodated on compassionate grounds, provided they furnish Death Certificate of the deceased parent/guardian
  • Irregular, absentee and failing students in examination will forfeit their right of fee concession
  • Application for fee concession or any kind of financial assistance will be verified by the parents

Disciplinary Rules

A Disciplinary Committee is empowered to assess the standards and disciplinary action on the misconduct of students. It is authorized to constitute the disciplinary measures for the students. A student is bound to obey/abide by the college rules or any notification/order issued by the Principal's Office/Registrar Office during the session:

  • No student is allowed to take part in any kind of political/unethical activity
  • Smoking/keeping any kind of drug is not allowed within college premises
  • Mobiles/Cell Phones as per direction of Government of the Punjab are prohibited at College Campus
  • Student should behave gently within College premises
  • Wall chalking/placing any kind of poster is strictly prohibited
  • Damaging College Property is not allowed and the defaulters will have to pay for the damages
  • Every student must hang his/her ID Card during College hours
  • No student is allowed to keep any kind of arms (Licensed/Unlicensed) in his/her possession
  • Outsiders are not allowed to enter college premises without the permission of Principal
