The Department of Economics at the Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College started M.A. Classes in September, 1999. The faculty members spent the formative years with diligence facing challenges bravely and intelligently.
An important aspect of the study Program is that it aims at modern economic analysis, quantitative techniques and discussion of policy, thus providing young scholars an opportunity not only to understand economic issues of the country but to suggest solutions to all such issues as well.The modes of training being used include class lectures, seminars, study tours, skills development workshops and presentation by guest speakers.
In its own way the college joins hand in national development efforts for stability and prosperity by imparting quality education. Evening Program as per government policy was launched is 2004. The BS (4-year) Program was introduced in 2010 with a capacity to induct 50 students in the 1st semester.
