I am pleased to welcome you on behalf of my colleagues and myself at Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College, Lahore. and wish you a pleasant and fruitful stay here. M.A.O. College stands towering amongst the institutions of Punjab in providing quality education in a congenial environment at Intermediate, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. We have a qualified faculty with 20 PhD and 43 M.Phil. teachers imparting knowledge in different disciplines at affordable fee structure.
During 86 years of its history, the college has left indelible imprints in almost all fields of life. The Alumni of the college has won laurels not only for their alma mater but also served the country in different capacities. It has produced renowned scholars, distinguished teachers, judges, politicians, scientists, sportsmen and professionals. To name a few, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Nazir Ahmad Qureshi, Dr. Imdad Hussain, Sahibzada Mahmood-ul-Zafar, Saqlain Mushtaq, Saeed Ajmal, Amjad Islam Amjad, Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi, and the list goes on.
This college has enviable atmosphere not only conducive to the academic pursuits but also fruitful for co-curricular and extracurricular Activities with emphasis on sports, debates, dramatics and music. There are many literary, science and cultural societies here contributing to the balanced personality development of the future generation of this sacred homeland. The college, thus, provides ample opportunities for the students, both boys and girls, to discover themselves, realize their potentials and prepare for the challenges of real life, and to contribute in the development of Pakistan.
I feel pride to mention that despite many odds, adverse and hostile conditions due to COVID-19 pandemic, this institution remained committed to maintaining the quality of education for its students. Our college was the leading Government institution whose teachers taught online classes by employing latest technology to the entire satisfaction of the students and also conducted online exams. In short, I am proud of my faculty, admin team and staff and we are dedicated to nurture your potential for the challenges.
